The Lake Elmo, Minnesota, native delivered a tactical masterpiece today at the Tesero Cross-Country Stadium, winning the women’s 10km classic standing event. Peterson crossed the finish line with a commanding lead, finally reaching the top step of the podium after years of consistent top-three finishes on the world stage.
Peterson navigated the steep climbs of the Italian Alps with a rhythmic power that left her competitors trailing by more than 30 seconds.
