A luxury car buyer has filed a lawsuit against Bul Auto Sales & Service 1 Inc., a Colonie, N.Y., dealership, alleging deceptive practices and failure to provide legal ownership of a high-end vehicle.
Jonathan Delano claims he traded in two luxury vehicles, paid $20,000 in cash, and financed more than $187,000 to purchase a 2021 Lamborghini Huracán EVO on May 8, 2025. According to court documents filed in Albany County Supreme Court, Delano received the car with dealer plates but never received permanent registration or a clear title.
The lawsuit alleges that owner Vladimir Ranguelov knowingly sold the vehicle despite an outstanding lien, leaving Delano without legal ownership. Delano is seeking $264,140 in damages, plus interest and punitive relief.
The complaint also cites a “pattern of fraudulent business practices” and notes that the dealership had closed by June 2025 amid multiple lawsuits and civil claims. Separate legal actions allege that Bul Auto owes millions in unpaid loans and advances, including a case filed by Stellantis Financial Services, Inc. in federal court on June 30, 2025.
Ranguelov was reportedly arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, in late August 2025 on felony fraud charges related to other alleged fraudulent vehicle transactions, though he was released on bond and awaits arraignment. Authorities have not provided additional comment on the ongoing civil suit.
Legal experts note that cases involving misrepresented vehicle titles, liens, and financing obligations can carry significant civil penalties and regulatory scrutiny under New York state consumer protection law.
The lawsuit highlights ongoing concerns over luxury vehicle sales in upstate New York, where buyers face potential risks when dealerships close abruptly or fail to deliver clear titles.
