Detroit came alive as residents and visitors from across the Great Lakes region gathered in Midtown’s Cass Corridor for the annual Marche du Nain Rouge, a lively parade rooted in local folklore and community arts. A Cultural Tradition in Action
The Marche du Nain Rouge, meaning “March of the Red Dwarf,” symbolizes driving misfortune out of the city while embracing imagination and artistry. Participants donned elaborate costumes and masks, bringing the mythical Nain Rouge to life alongside musicians, performance artists, and community groups.
